The critics said this movie is uneven in style, and alternate between being irritating and engaging. Also, that it was too slow in the beginning. I know exactly what they were talking about, but I liked what they disliked. This unevenness made it like a cross between the real and the surreal, which is how I've sometimes experienced having to deal with others.

Only problem I had is the editing. There is one segment they should have removed. The segment wrecked the energy of the movie, and was unnecessary. But I think the movie is worth seeing, especially if you like Jennifer Lawrence.
I haven't wanted to see the movie as I don't enjoy Jennifer Jawrence. She kinda seams like that mean girl from high school when you see her interviewed. And I'm sick of seeing the idea of making alot of money as the end all be all of existence. Do you think it's worth seeing even with those two biases going in? Curious which segment was off too, not worried about a spoiler.
Interesting take on Lawrence. I've seen three interviews. In one she made a slew of self-deprecating jokes. In another she replied to reporters questions in a way that showed how silly the questions were. And in another, she actually spoke about mean girls who make fun of other girls' looks.

But as for the movie, if you already have two biases going against it then you probably should not watch it. Lawrence is the central character, and most reviews were not good. Except this one

The part I thought should be removed was a flash-forward during the end of the movie. It was unnecessary because the voice-over was already handling that, it wrecked the power of the ending, and Lawrence overplayed the cool maturity of the future matriarch.
