In Treatment
#1
Back in the Seventies there was a daytime TV series that portrayed nothing more than a psychiatrist talking to a patient in session. I saw it a few times and remember very little about it. This idea has been resurrected (or reinvented) in a TV show called In Treatment. Except done with more creativity.

I started checking these out from Netflix and I've viewed two seasons. There is something very powerful about drama that's mostly dialog, if it's well written. And this one is. Sort of like watching a well written play. At times, though, it got boring. But not so much so that I gave up. And overall, I'm very glad I started watching this one.

BTW, I just read that new writers on Season 3 have ruined the show. That's unfortunate.

So, are you watching the old one, or In Treatment? I heard that it is excellent. I've seen a few pieces of it, i really enjoyed a scene with Gabriel Burn and his therapist, oh, I forget her name, that really great older actress from Parenthood and Hannah and Her Sisters.

It looks like I am subscribed to this thread, I just checked and saw that I could "unsubscribe" so I should get notices, right? I like this forum, by the way. It's a nice set up so far.

I'm watching In Treatment. It's Dianne Wiest who plays his therapist, and she is great in this part. I look forward to her episodes. I think his anger toward her is a bit over the top, though.

I've watched the first two seasons on DVD. I don't watch regular TV often because I can't remember when anything is one.

Look up in the top of the forum where it says "Watched Threads." Click that to see if you are subscribed to the threads, and if you have instant notification. I'm actually sort of worried about this, considering you didn't get the confirmation email. I think I'm going to start asking questions in the support forum.

Have you received any emails from the forum at all? And let me know what the subscriptions are. I already double checked your email, and you entered it correctly.

yep, looks like it went to junk for some reason, while other "real" junk often does not....but, it's fixed now
