Roberta Flack documentary
Very interesting. The documentary is called "Roberta Flack: Killing Me Softly," and watching it explained a lot about how she developed her unique style. Early music practice in a Methodist church. Later trained in classical piano and voice. And clearly influenced by folk and jazz. The documentary is not only about Flack, but also about the era in which she recorded.

I must say, though, I thought the documentary maker got carried away comparing her to Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," in terms of politics. But so be it.
I love music documentaries but can't find this one on Netflix. Did you see it on TV?
It's not on Netflix. It's a BBC documentary, and I saw it on Showtime. I have Showtime because they are currently offering a free 30 day trial.
